There are three ways I would play Phantom Abyss, but the one I preferred was a mix of framerate and quality. With the graphics preset at High and no TDP limit, we can get a solid 60 FPS throughout the game.

And double jump B tier. Heart container is better than double jump. You want long whip and wings anyways, so double jump is pretty useless, plus it glitches out sometimes.
I also noticed that the camera moves quite slowly, so I would recommend changing the sensitivity, but other than that, it was a great experience! There aren't any advanced graphical settings, so we can only change a single preset, but it will work well for us regardless.

With the Ice Whip, however, so long as you have the Icy Feet curse still enabled, you can use the momentum of your slide to boost your horizontal distance. Slide, let go of all keys and then quickly crouch and jump while you still have momentum.

It gets very fast. Some people say that if it is turning it moves slower. As far as I have seen, by the end of the caverns, it will pretty much not be falling behind and will overtake you even if you are running, so you take your headstart and keep running to finish levels after that.
Speedhackers already? I may be out of the loop, but I occasionally Phantom Abyss see phantoms that run at 2x or 3x the speed of a regular person, and depending on what type of whip I'm running, that takes steam out of my sails.
This does mean there will be better battery life overall, except for Abyss Mode, which gets around 20W - 22W while still looking incredible.
